Zendee Rose Teneferete became a viral hit in Youtube when she was captured singing "And I am telling you I'm not going" by Jennifer Holiday in one of the Karaoke machines being sold in a mall in the Philippines.
Her instant popularity is often compared to Charice Pempengco where Youtube was the place they have shown their "musical chops" as well as becoming an instant celebrity.
There is also no denying the fact that both Charice and Zendee have appeared in the Ellen Degeneres TV show and that show became somewhat of a starting point for aspiring Filipino singers to show their talent on singing for the whole world to see.
In the Ellen Degeneres show, Ellen asked Zendee about her life, her passion for singing and how it affected her life. She was also asked to sing the song that made her famous which is "And I am telling you I'm not going" by Jennifer Holiday. The same song she sang in the mall's karaoke machine.
